(Buchanan County, Missouri, USA) H5 (stone)
Following the discovery of the first 12lb (5.4kg) stone in 1966, at least seven others have been found, totalling over 100kg in weight. They are internally fresh and may have fallen in the summer of 1907, W.F. Read (1969). Over 100Kg of this meteorite was located, but with most of it locked away in institutions, it remains one of those difficult to obtain meteorites among collectors. Lots of metal flake and chondrules are visible in the matrix of this often hard to find meteorite.
