Spaceguard Centre on BBC News Magazine

Postby David Entwistle » Fri Aug 22, 2014 4:41 pm

I see the BBC have a nice report on the operation of the Spaceguard Centre and an interview with Jay Tate.

You can read more about the Spaceguard Centre here.

The most significant natural danger to life on Earth comes from asteroids and comets.

The Spaceguard Centre is a working observatory, and the main source of information
about near Earth objects in the UK.

The observatory is located on a remote, dark sky site ideal for astronomy, surrounded
by the stunning Welsh Marches.
