Hmmm... Very nice.

I'm wondering what the book is - looks about the same size as the Catalogue of Meteorites. Anyone recognize it?

Looks like it is a book all about the fall with a picture of the smoke trail on the cover....would be good to find that and get a copy.

Ural federal University are reporting that scientists will be returning to Lake Chebarkul to verify that the recovery of the meteorite main from the silt at the bottom of the lake has removed all magnetic anomalies previously recorded in the area. The suspicion is that another fragment may lay hidden in the deep silt.
