Do you have any more information on it. e.g. where it was found and if it is attracted to a magnet at all. First thoughts are it is not a meteorite.
Is there any visible shiny metal showing on the cut surface?

The place of finding is unknown to me. The stone has magnetic properties. The stone has the smell of burning something like burned coal.
