Avatar images?

Postby Entropydave » Wed May 11, 2011 11:24 pm

In most forums one can put a small and invariably annoying image as an avatar that appears next to our posts. Although I suspect I am more complex than any av I could pick to "sum up" what my personal Zeitgeist is, I still have an urge to put one there to show you all how deep and provocative I am!

any ideas?

If you don't have your own avatar image to use, I've just uploaded over 1200 to the avatar gallery for you to choose from:

Matt
That's excellent cos all of my avatars (all the clever ones I have gleaned from other forumeers over the years) are too big for me to upload and I can't be bothered to start shrinking them down!
Ill have a trawl....

I don't think it's available in the default installation, there are hacks to use them but (to be honest) that would be fairly low on my list of priorities at the moment. Live chat on the other hand is a higher priority :)

I had an avatar from another forum.
It took 45 minutes to resize and 16 bitmap it, but finally succeeded. :)

I uploaded a load of pics onto Photobucket and that provides a resize option... worth a try if any posters here want to upload pics onto the forum.

best!
