Shirokovsky

Postby msg-meteorites » Fri May 20, 2011 10:08 pm

Hi all,

Here is a photo of my specimen of the meteorwrong Shirokovsky

This is different to my previous slice in that this piece shows a strange structure of metal grains within the slice. Looks like two very distinct metal alloys that have not been fully homogenised. Seems to me to be a clear indicator of its man made nature. Anyone have any other ideas?

Cheers

Martin

Hi Martin,I got a slice of this too quite a few years ago when I already knew it had no CRE age and was pretty much known to be madmade.I mean manmade lol

would be interesting to see it being done though. Was it purposeful or a serendipitous discovery one wonders.

here's my slice.25 ish grams
