This months image of the month features the Leighlinbridge meteorite. It's an an 8.1g part slice of this LL6, November 1999 fall from Ireland with a stunning 8mm chondrule and thick fusion crust. Pieces of this size are seldom seen as the total known mass if just 271g. The image appears courtesy of Martin Goff. Jim beat me to it. Nice images, Martin.

I particularly like the tiny flow lines on the crust.

Regards, Kieron

Thanks guys, the flowlines on the crust are quite delicate and it took a few tries to get :D a good shot.

Cheers
