A 6.68 kg stone was found beside a fence post by a woman; she placed the stone along her driveway border. It was recognised by Mr. Allen Shaw, who was conducting a house-to-house search for meteorites. Lemmon retains a large amount of fusion crust and small regmaglypts over it surface, and fine grained nickel-iron metal flakes with its dark matrix.
