Many masses of this coarse octahedrite were found, the largest weighing around 300lb. Since its discovery in 1776 in the Toluca Valley, this meteorite has since gained a lot of local history. For many years, pieces were gathered by the local Indian population and fashioned in agricultural implements and tools for use by the community.
