Found a Meteorite?
People sometimes find rocks that they think may be meteorites, perhaps the rock is unusually heavy or attracted to a magnet? Many terrestrial rocks (from Earth) are mistaken for space rocks, but once you have some experience it becomes much easier to identify them.

A terrestrial rock confused for a meteorite is often referred to as a meteorwrong, you can see an excellent gallery of meteorwrongs here.

If you have a rock you think may be a meteorite, why not email a picture and description to us here?
